Products I've been loving, July 2013

It's been awhile since I've reviewed some products. I had a bit of down time so I thought I'd show my page some love. Some of these products are new, others I've been using for months, so lets get started!

First is this body mist that I purchased during the Bath and Body Works sale. My boyfriend actually picked it out and he did a great job! Such a refreshing coconut scent and I think it was around or under $5. I wish I had picked up more from this collection but I was trying not to spend too much money (I also picked up two candles, Mint Chocolate Chip and Salty Caramel. I don't have them to show because they are at my bf's house but they are amazing!).

Maybelline's new mascara has been a favorite this past month. I wouldn't say it's "the best" but it does a nice job volumizing my lashes. There are others I prefer over this one but I would still repurchase. I love Maybelline mascaras.

False lashes in "102 Demi's" are my absolute favorite! I use false lashes when I don't want to put mascara on...weird, but my lashes are all sorts of awkward when they want to be so sometimes I like the nice, uniform look. These aren't too dramatic for me and make my eyes look nice when I want to get a little dressy.

And Clinique's gel liner. Been using this for at least two years. All time favorite.

I bought this Garnier moisturizer a couple weeks ago and I haven't noticed anything too different. It feels cool on my skin and hasn't broken me out so I will continue to use it.

Tarte Clean Slate Poreless primer, I got this in a sample pack and decided to start using it recently, well when I work 12 hour days. It holds my face make up nicely but I'm not sure I will spend the money to repurchase a full size when I'm done. I might go back to using my ELF one.

 

Been loving my Sonia Kashuk concealer pot. It does a great job at covering up my redness or for under my eyes.

Prestige eye brow kit. Have been using this since the beginning of the year or so and it's pretty nice. I did start using the lighter shade first but I have recently switched to the darker shade and it looks a lot better. Still new to this whole make up world so I'm learning as I go.

Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation. Now I can't say this has great coverage but because I have sensitive skin it helps me not break out as much.

All of these products I have been using for the past few months and love them. Not much else to say, they help add color to my face and control the shine.

And last but not least. Wet 'n Wild's Sweet as Candy trio. I've used this many times over the years and have been reaching for it just the past couple weeks. I love it for when I want to add subtle color to my eyes.

August Favorites!!

First favorite of this month is my Bath and Body Works body mist in "Paris Amour." Because it's summer I was going for a lighter fragrance rather than my heavier perfumes. I've used this almost every day and it is actually halfway done (this is a picture of when I first got it).

Covergirl lash perfection, this is definitely a favorite of mine for the second month in a row, I believe. It works really well for my lashes and I love how it volumizes.



My Wet 'n Wild trio in "Sweet as Candy." I've definitely used this trio a lot this month when I wanted a day time smokey look. I found that light pinks like this look really good with my skin color and have just been obsessed with this look.

And last but not least, my Urban Decay "Smoked" palette. I absolutely love this! I haven't played around with all the colors yet but I really love the gray's and highlight colors. Now that we're getting into Fall, I feel like I will be able to play around with the darker colors more.


Other news:

I apologize for not blogging as much as I use to. I think I stated before but I am not buying as many new products as I used to. 1. I'm trying to save money for some trips and events coming up in the next couple of months and 2. I want to try experimenting with products that I already have.

I will however, try to get a video uploaded on here if I can figure it out. My boyfriend and I are really excited to do the baby food challenge, so that might be coming soon! Thank you all for supporting me and I apologize again for being gone a while!

Reviews (February and March)

Victoria's Secret "Gorgeous" body mist. I think this is from their permanent line, I only buy their products if I have a gift card or they have a big sale. I love this body spray, it smells really good and I alway get compliments on it.

Hello Kitty's rollerball perfume. Love this as well and also get compliments on it. I use it almost every day...as you can tell since I'm half way done with it. Umm $22 from Sephora I believe.

E.L.F's setting spray, I'm not sure if I posted about this yet or not but I really love this product. My make up stays on a lot longer, especially on hot days. $3 from Target or E.L.F's website.

Revlon's Photoready liquid foundation. So I actually bought this product a while ago but barely used it...until now! I apply this one with a brush (now, before I tried a sponge applicator or just my fingers) and it really does have amazing coverage. I think this one was around $10-12 but I had a coupon.

E.L.F's tinted moisturizure, this one is in "Beige" but they have like five or six shades (I think). I love using this after I apply my foundation just to give my face a little extra moisture and it kind of doubles as a bronzer because I've been asked if I go tanning.

Eyeliners: E.L.F's eyeliner pen, I really love this, even though the applicator is a little harsh, it really goes on nicely, it's not as running as a liquid eyeliner and it's just as creamy as a gel liner.

And NYC's pencil, nothing special about this. I just use this for my water line and it stayed on longer than the crayon liner.

Benefits "They're real" I feel like I've said something about this one before too. Anyway, this is a really nice mascara, pretty much does what it says; volumizes and lengthens. $22 from Sephora or Ulta.

And lastly, still loving my Smith's Strawberry lip balm. Very moisturizing.

February Favorites!

Foundation/Primers. I've been using these for a while now but since this is my first review I decided to add these.

First off is my "Fit me" pressed powder. I use this one every day and I think it works really well.

Next is my Maybelline "Super Stay" concealer. I don't use this as much but it works for my under eye circles.

Lastly is my Urban Decay primer potion in "Original." Love this product and use it every day!...I need to get a new one as soon as Lent is over.

Eyeshadows:

First is the Maybelline trio in "Rose Revolution" and the second is "Neutral Liaisons." I love these cream eye shadows for an easy every day look!...I apply these with my fingers and it's just so easy if I feel lazy in the morning or want just a hint of color for the day.

Next is my NYX trio...absolutly LOVE this for a smoky look. Again this is really nice for an every day look and is really easy. The colors are not as harsh for a smoky look but still gives off the effect, definitely don't regret buying this trio.

My eyeliners:

I've been using Clinique's cream eye liner for my upper lid and Revlon's colorstay crayon eye liner for my lower lines for a longg time now. I love these and use them every day.

Mascaras:

Maybelline's "Illegal length" okay, for me, this totally works! It doesn't give much volume but it really holds my curl and makes my lashes look really nice.

Revlon's "PhotoReady 3D Volume" this one is really nice too and holds my curl and adds a bit of volume, I definitely reach for either of these mascaras every day.

Lip products:

L'oreal Paris' "Balm" and Revlon's Lip butters...AMAZING! After putting on a lip balm I put either of these on for extra color or shine. Really moisturizing and just love these.

Maybelline's "Baby lips" this is the only one that I have but I use this a lot too for an every day lip balm.

And lastly, Smith's "Strawberry" lip balm. Though I just bought this not too long ago, I absolutely love this and how well it moisturizes.

Seche Vite's top coat. LOVE.

I love the colors of these polishes, I would wear them for weeks if I could. I just recently started using Seche Vite but I love it so far. I used to use China Glaze's "Fast Forward" but there was something about that top coat that ruined my designs, it would smudge the colors into each other, I just had to find a new product.

These are my absolute favorite products that I always buy (or will buy back ups for).

-Urban Decay eyeshadow primers: love, love, love!
-Falsies Flared mascara: Does wonders for my lashes.
-Fit Me powder foundation: Just recently purchased this but I realllly like it already.
-Super Stay 24 hours concealer: Not a hug fan but it does it's job.
-E.O.S lip balms: No words needed.
-Urban Decay eye shadows: both are purple and look great with my eyes.
-Clinique's cream eye liner: Absolutely love (I have a back up)!
-Revlon's colorstay (crayon?) eyeliner: I have used this for years
-Almay's purple trio: Don't use as much but I like the top color for a highlighter
-Revlon's lip butter:...AHHH new favorite lip product/gloss
