I'm back!! Catching up and updated make up collection.

Well, I'm finally back!...It's been some time since I last posted so I decided to write a little bit of a background story on how and why I started my page. Basically at the end of 2011, I was going through a REALLY bad break up so I wanted to pass time, and what better way of doing that than going on YouTube! I have always, always been into nails; the different nail colors, glitters, designs, everything! But it wasn't until I watched a few videos that I found my love for make-up too! I believe one of the first YouTuber's I watched and fell in love with was "SomethingaboutJanice" she was completely addicted to China Glaze nail polishes and also had a HUGE make up collection that consisted of mostly MAC products...now I don't shop at MAC but I thought it was really neat how someone could have so much make up!...and have it very organized as well. Soon after watching Janice, I found "SAAAMMAGE" or Sam/Samantha, who is a YouTuber who lives in my area! From there, my addiction to nails and make up just kept growing, which 1) Helped me get over my breakup and 2) Has really done some damage to my wallet $$. Anyway, because I was (and still am) too scared to start my own YouTube channel, I decide to create my own blog instead and share my love for make-up and nails with whoever would like to read about it.
I just can't get enough, I'm a sucker for packaging---all the beautiful colors and well, it doesn't help I follow probably over 100 beauty YouTuber's now who upload hauls and "new at the drug store" videos, making me want to buy it all! One thing most people don't know is that even though I have a lot of make up, I really do try to look for deals; whether it's redeeming my points for dollars off at Ulta, or looking for value sets/kits that allow me to try more products for the price of one high end product. And to be honest, the most expensive single item I own (that doesn't include eye shadow or cheek palettes) is probably my $30 Urban Decay make-up setting spray. Seriously guys, look for value sets!! Or wait until you have coupon codes and reward member codes (% off)...I'll have a lot this year because I qualified for Sephora's VIB Rouge (smh).
Anyway, I really love this blog and really want to try and get back into the swing of things. Because of this blog, I am able to keep my mind off of things that bother me because I can just write freely about something I love. So I'll start off this year with an updated make-up collection. This is actually after I cleaned out some of my old make up. This isn't everything, but it's the important ones that I actually use and is worth showing. So enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

All of my make-up storage, including the desk I bought myself once my addiction started growing. Everything isn't organized exactly how I would like it to be but it works for now. I just need more room! >_<

And I know it may seemed cluttered but again I mostly buy value sets which means most (but not all) of my products are mini/travel/value...whatever you want to call it, sized. Because let's be real. I would never use up a full size product with the amount of make-up I have.

This cart is where most of my make-up is stored. It's not the best because the shelves tend to fall off the tracks but it is sturdy for what I have. I would love to have the Alex drawers from Ikea but those are too much $$.

First off are my every day lip balms. All types; high end (Bite Beauty and Korres) to drug store. Pretty self explanatory, I use these every day and night.

Next are some lip glosses and lip stains. Mostly all drug store. There are some semi-high end; Benefit, Smashbox, Lorac.

Here we have some single eye shadows in the back, mixture of drug store and high end, then a couple Smashbox palettes, Lorac palettes and "other"...in this case Too Faced Cat Eyes and Naked 2 basics. These are shadows and palettes I don't reach for as much but still use, or the palette is too small for where I have the others on my vanity.

This is a sort of random drawer. I have a few palettes in the back I don't use. Like that Hello Kitty animal print one-bought it just for the packaging. Some hair clips and a bhcosmetics contour kit and Too Faced Sugar and Spice palette.

Next, these are setting powders, bronzers and blushes. Again a mixture of high end and drug store.

Here we have some mascaras in the back, to the right are some back up concealers, bronzers and face products and then the two in the front (or bottom) are samples from Sephora, anywhere from perfume to lipstick samples.

Here is what I call my "back ups" drawer. For products I love or use often. I can't go a day without it so, I make sure I always have a back up of it. By the way, *side note* I use all drug store for my foundation and eyeliner, only because it's something I use everyday and can't afford to buy high end for that. Which isn't a problem, I prefer drug store products for things I use everyday.

Here we have lashes and...I guess miscellaneous; more make-up brushes, hand sanitizers from BBW and a couple E.L.F face primers.

Brushes!...Oops...um they're a littttle dirty. I'm loving my monogramed cup that my boyfriend's sister got me for Christmas (the one in the middle). I just need a filler for the bottom of the cup but it is so cute! I mostly use E.L.F brushes, Real Technique's and the pink handle ones are from Too Faced...they're so SOFT!!

This one is my favorite. This container is where I keep my every day palettes (face and cheek).

Some more eye shadow palettes I just like to have on display. Limited edition E.L.F ones and a bhcosmetics one my boyfriend got me one year for Christmas. And some make-up look books, in case I need inspiration.

A close up of my cheek palettes.

I believe with my discounts the Benefit palette and Too Faced palette were under $30 each, when a single blush or bronzer from Benefit or Too Faced retails for $28-30. Uhh...hello, what a steal! The bhcosmetics one is less than $20 I think.

My babies!
Urban Decay Naked 3 that my boyfriend got me as a college graduation gift (for only $40 thanks to my $10 off at the time).
Lorac Pro palette which I cannot live without!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, which smells so good.
City Color Cosmetics "Barely Exposed" palette which is a knock off of the U.D Naked one palette...but uh hello only $5!
And lastly my Anastasia Amrezy palette, I love the purple and green in that palette.

Can you tell I like neutral colors?

More lippies! These are from a Buxom set, Fresh set and Sephora's 17 piece lip set that was out for the holidays.

Oh and some other randoms from other sets. Dior, Kat Von D, Bare Minerals, Bite Beauty and Urban Decay, mini lipsticks.

And some more randoms.

Buxom is probably my favorite lip gloss brand, the color White Russian is perfection!

The brand Fresh is a close second. Their lippies smell like lemon! And are so buttery-smooth.

Some mini Benefit products.

Perfumes!

Mascaras, brow stuff, concealers, etc.

Eyeliners-black, brown and colored, NYX jumbo eye pencils, some smaller eye shadow trios/quads.

Make-up bags from (mostly) Ipsy subscription, Urban Decay and the pink one came with the Too Faced brushes.

And lastly, we have my foundations, setting sprays, some roller ball perfumes and the gold caps to the right are Lorac lip glosses.

I hope you all enjoyed. This was definitely a long post but I'm glad to (hopefully) be back! I need to work on nail designs so I can up load some more of those too!

I take my make up storage seriously!

Well, I wasn't really suppose to buy anything because I'm trying to save my money but I've REALLY been looking for more storage for my make up. Mostly to try and clear off my desk. So what did I do? Went to Target and bought some new containers!

I was hoping to find a taller one of these 3-drawer bins but it didn't seem like they had one that had shallow shelves and taller. And unfortunately this was the last one at this Target. Once I see another, I will just stack it on top but for now this definitely holds everything I need.

Also found these PERFECT sized organizers. So I got two...also the last two they had.

First drawer will be primers and face powders.

Then eyebrow stuff, mascaras, and concealers.

And lastly, gel eyeliners, couple glitter liners, eye shadow trios/quads, NYX jumbo eye pencils, colored eye liners and black/dark brown eye liners.

((I also currently have these "no-slip" liners on the bottom just so my make up doesn't stain the bottom of the organizers))

And this all sits nicely under my make up desk...not the prettiest but I make do with what I have/can find for a good price.

More storage.

Went back to Target to pick up some more trays to fix up more of my drawers.

Sorted out my smaller palettes. I can see this being a problem later because I can't really stack them up anymore (make up collector problems).

First, the ELF beauty books. I'm missing one but I'm honestly not even fond of these just because the quality isn't the best and with the "Beach Beauty" book, it has eyes, lips and face products which is great for travel but the eye shadows get EVERYWHERE! They're cute though.

"High End" palettes. I do have more but again these are just the smaller palettes/ones I don't display. You can refer to my full make up collection to see my other palettes.

NYX palettes.

Randoms/cute packaging.

And blushes/bronzers/highlighters.

I'm back!...sort of..

So I know it's definitely been a while since I last posted but truth is, I just haven't had any inspiration lately for any more nail ideas, and well, getting on here to post takes a bit of time. I will try to be better though! Especially with posting my monthly Ipsy glam bags, I really have been loving the subscription and the products they give us.
Anyway, enough of that, just wanted to jump on here and do a quick post about my little change in my make up storage...enjoy!

First up, I found these clear containers at Target's dollar spot and am so happy they fit! I've been trying to figure out a way to organize my lip glosses without them being all over the place and this just about solves the problem.

Small palettes...well still working on a way to organize these because of these smaller palettes and the ones I have displayed on my desk. I wish I had a bigger make up table or storage drawers.

So many chapsticks yet I always end up buying more because I forget to take one with me! You know how people always lose their chapstick before they even finish it?...Yeah, I've finished two in the last 3-4 months.

More chapsticks, mostly for home use. E.O.S obsession; the three on the right are the ones I'm working on finishing, the others I haven't started yet. Smith's tin lip balms and then little lip balm pots in the back.

These last few months I've also been sort of doing a Project Pan. So I've been using more products and shadows just to make room in my collection. I'm also on a look out for a new cosmetic mirror with a light...the nice ones definitely don't run cheap.

Products I've been loving, July 2013

It's been awhile since I've reviewed some products. I had a bit of down time so I thought I'd show my page some love. Some of these products are new, others I've been using for months, so lets get started!

First is this body mist that I purchased during the Bath and Body Works sale. My boyfriend actually picked it out and he did a great job! Such a refreshing coconut scent and I think it was around or under $5. I wish I had picked up more from this collection but I was trying not to spend too much money (I also picked up two candles, Mint Chocolate Chip and Salty Caramel. I don't have them to show because they are at my bf's house but they are amazing!).

Maybelline's new mascara has been a favorite this past month. I wouldn't say it's "the best" but it does a nice job volumizing my lashes. There are others I prefer over this one but I would still repurchase. I love Maybelline mascaras.
False lashes in "102 Demi's" are my absolute favorite! I use false lashes when I don't want to put mascara on...weird, but my lashes are all sorts of awkward when they want to be so sometimes I like the nice, uniform look. These aren't too dramatic for me and make my eyes look nice when I want to get a little dressy.
And Clinique's gel liner. Been using this for at least two years. All time favorite.

I bought this Garnier moisturizer a couple weeks ago and I haven't noticed anything too different. It feels cool on my skin and hasn't broken me out so I will continue to use it.
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless primer, I got this in a sample pack and decided to start using it recently, well when I work 12 hour days. It holds my face make up nicely but I'm not sure I will spend the money to repurchase a full size when I'm done. I might go back to using my ELF one.

Been loving my Sonia Kashuk concealer pot. It does a great job at covering up my redness or for under my eyes.
Prestige eye brow kit. Have been using this since the beginning of the year or so and it's pretty nice. I did start using the lighter shade first but I have recently switched to the darker shade and it looks a lot better. Still new to this whole make up world so I'm learning as I go.
Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation. Now I can't say this has great coverage but because I have sensitive skin it helps me not break out as much.

All of these products I have been using for the past few months and love them. Not much else to say, they help add color to my face and control the shine.

And last but not least. Wet 'n Wild's Sweet as Candy trio. I've used this many times over the years and have been reaching for it just the past couple weeks. I love it for when I want to add subtle color to my eyes.

Hope you all enjoyed. Sorry there haven't been nail tutorials. I'm kind of at a nail-block (writers block but for nail designs) so I'm not sure when I'll have a new one up. Thanks for stopping by my page!
