I take my make up storage seriously!

Well, I wasn't really suppose to buy anything because I'm trying to save my money but I've REALLY been looking for more storage for my make up. Mostly to try and clear off my desk. So what did I do? Went to Target and bought some new containers!

I was hoping to find a taller one of these 3-drawer bins but it didn't seem like they had one that had shallow shelves and taller. And unfortunately this was the last one at this Target. Once I see another, I will just stack it on top but for now this definitely holds everything I need.

Also found these PERFECT sized organizers. So I got two...also the last two they had.

First drawer will be primers and face powders.

Then eyebrow stuff, mascaras, and concealers.

And lastly, gel eyeliners, couple glitter liners, eye shadow trios/quads, NYX jumbo eye pencils, colored eye liners and black/dark brown eye liners.

((I also currently have these "no-slip" liners on the bottom just so my make up doesn't stain the bottom of the organizers))

And this all sits nicely under my make up desk...not the prettiest but I make do with what I have/can find for a good price.

More storage.

Went back to Target to pick up some more trays to fix up more of my drawers.

Sorted out my smaller palettes. I can see this being a problem later because I can't really stack them up anymore (make up collector problems).

First, the ELF beauty books. I'm missing one but I'm honestly not even fond of these just because the quality isn't the best and with the "Beach Beauty" book, it has eyes, lips and face products which is great for travel but the eye shadows get EVERYWHERE! They're cute though.

"High End" palettes. I do have more but again these are just the smaller palettes/ones I don't display. You can refer to my full make up collection to see my other palettes.

NYX palettes.

Randoms/cute packaging.

And blushes/bronzers/highlighters.

I'm back!...sort of..

So I know it's definitely been a while since I last posted but truth is, I just haven't had any inspiration lately for any more nail ideas, and well, getting on here to post takes a bit of time. I will try to be better though! Especially with posting my monthly Ipsy glam bags, I really have been loving the subscription and the products they give us.
Anyway, enough of that, just wanted to jump on here and do a quick post about my little change in my make up storage...enjoy!

First up, I found these clear containers at Target's dollar spot and am so happy they fit! I've been trying to figure out a way to organize my lip glosses without them being all over the place and this just about solves the problem.

Small palettes...well still working on a way to organize these because of these smaller palettes and the ones I have displayed on my desk. I wish I had a bigger make up table or storage drawers.

So many chapsticks yet I always end up buying more because I forget to take one with me! You know how people always lose their chapstick before they even finish it?...Yeah, I've finished two in the last 3-4 months.

More chapsticks, mostly for home use. E.O.S obsession; the three on the right are the ones I'm working on finishing, the others I haven't started yet. Smith's tin lip balms and then little lip balm pots in the back.

These last few months I've also been sort of doing a Project Pan. So I've been using more products and shadows just to make room in my collection. I'm also on a look out for a new cosmetic mirror with a light...the nice ones definitely don't run cheap.

Products I've been loving, July 2013

It's been awhile since I've reviewed some products. I had a bit of down time so I thought I'd show my page some love. Some of these products are new, others I've been using for months, so lets get started!

First is this body mist that I purchased during the Bath and Body Works sale. My boyfriend actually picked it out and he did a great job! Such a refreshing coconut scent and I think it was around or under $5. I wish I had picked up more from this collection but I was trying not to spend too much money (I also picked up two candles, Mint Chocolate Chip and Salty Caramel. I don't have them to show because they are at my bf's house but they are amazing!).

Maybelline's new mascara has been a favorite this past month. I wouldn't say it's "the best" but it does a nice job volumizing my lashes. There are others I prefer over this one but I would still repurchase. I love Maybelline mascaras.
False lashes in "102 Demi's" are my absolute favorite! I use false lashes when I don't want to put mascara on...weird, but my lashes are all sorts of awkward when they want to be so sometimes I like the nice, uniform look. These aren't too dramatic for me and make my eyes look nice when I want to get a little dressy.
And Clinique's gel liner. Been using this for at least two years. All time favorite.

I bought this Garnier moisturizer a couple weeks ago and I haven't noticed anything too different. It feels cool on my skin and hasn't broken me out so I will continue to use it.
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless primer, I got this in a sample pack and decided to start using it recently, well when I work 12 hour days. It holds my face make up nicely but I'm not sure I will spend the money to repurchase a full size when I'm done. I might go back to using my ELF one.

Been loving my Sonia Kashuk concealer pot. It does a great job at covering up my redness or for under my eyes.
Prestige eye brow kit. Have been using this since the beginning of the year or so and it's pretty nice. I did start using the lighter shade first but I have recently switched to the darker shade and it looks a lot better. Still new to this whole make up world so I'm learning as I go.
Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation. Now I can't say this has great coverage but because I have sensitive skin it helps me not break out as much.

All of these products I have been using for the past few months and love them. Not much else to say, they help add color to my face and control the shine.

And last but not least. Wet 'n Wild's Sweet as Candy trio. I've used this many times over the years and have been reaching for it just the past couple weeks. I love it for when I want to add subtle color to my eyes.

Hope you all enjoyed. Sorry there haven't been nail tutorials. I'm kind of at a nail-block (writers block but for nail designs) so I'm not sure when I'll have a new one up. Thanks for stopping by my page!

Ipsy bag June 2013!

So I have decided to switch subscription services and while I enjoyed the products in the PopSugar boxes, I felt I wanted something that was more for just makeup and beauty. Plus this service is only $10/month, free shipping (as opposed to $35 for PopSugar)! I noticed this bag has gotten better over the months, since it's one of the newer subscription services so I'm hoping it keeps getting better!

Sooo here we go! I really loved everything in my bag this month and was really thankful for which colors I got. I will probably use everything, except I could do without the glitter palette.

(Definitely a cute bag!)

Companys in this months bag

Everything in the bag.

Gel eyeliner in "Iron." I haven't swatched it yet but it looks like a grey/black eyeliner. Love it because I use black gel liners and don't think I would have used the purple if I had gotten that, although it looked really pretty.

Highlighter for under the eyebrows or wherever you want to highlight your face.

Glitter palette. A lot of people have not been liking this. I didn't bother to open it so the quality is a little bad for this pic.

Lip liner in "Bare"

NYX mosaic powder. This is a color I could definitely use! I saw some that people were getting and they looked super bright, this is something that would probably look good with my skin tone.

Nails of the week!

I change my nails too much to keep posting updated pics on my blog but really liked this design.

Updated Make Up collection May 2013 (Part 2)!

Disney version ELF palette. I wish I had gotten all three when this came out. They're really cute and look like DVD cases.

This one I got for like $3 when they had an online sale. Eye shadows, blushes, bronzers and lip colors!

This storage cart I got for Christmas, the only storage I didn't buy myself.

Proud to have made it on Sephora's VIB list ;). Hello Kitty Brush set (animal print) from my boyfriend. Some palettes, and a candle burner.

Lorac palettes, Pro and Glo Getter.

V.S palette, not going to lie. I pretty much only bought this for the packaging.

Urban Decay "Create your own" palette and Smoked.

Still don't know which color to buy to fill that last spot!

Dry shampoos.

Lippies! EOS, Korres and other lip butters, Baby Lips and the start of my Limited Edition "Chapstick" collection.

Drug store lip glosses/lip stains. Covergirl, Revlon, Maybelline, L'Oreal, NYX, ELF, Milani.

High end lip glosses; Buxom, Lorac, Lip Fusion, and smaller palettes; ELF, NYX, Hello Kitty (only for the packaging), Too Faced.

Blushes and bronzers.

My "extras" or backup drawer.

Lashes and some nail polish kits.

Urban Decay NYC Book of Shadows and boxes for some products.

Liquid Foundations, travel perfumes, moisturizers, setting sprays, more lippies!

And that about wraps it up. Some day I hope to do my nail polish collection but I need to go through them because there are some that I don't like or want anymore. And they are all over the place. Again, this is not exactly how I want my make up set up but for now, and because of the space I have, it'll do. I hope that when I move out I can get a bigger desk or at least one with drawers.
